RGC rewards top CityU scientists for timely, applicable research (09 Aug 2023)
Four academics from CityU have been successful under the Senior Research Fellow Scheme and the Research Fellow Scheme (2023/24) established by RGC.

CityU and Qingdao West Coast New Area sign MoU to jointly establish innovation research institute (06 Aug 2023)
The President of CityU, Professor Freddy Boey Yin Chiang, led a delegation from CityU to meet with Mr Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, on 2 August. The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the CityU-Qingdao Innovation Research Institute in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area and to strengthen cooperation in new materials, new energy, biomedicine, marine science and AI.

Two CityU research projects win major awards from Ministry of Education (24 Jul 2023)
State-of-the-art research into the precise delivery of cells using microrobots and the study of the medium-range structure of metallic glass developed at CityU have been honoured with two second-class awards in the Natural Science category at the Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Science and Technology) 2022 from the Ministry of Education.
